Parody Trailer, Toad’s Trip to the Moon

For my project, I decided to recreate a very early film “A Trip to the Moon” or “Le voyage dans la Lune” from 1902. The film is one of the most iconic old movies from the silent film era so I thought parodying it would be perfect for this project. I also liked that it was a silent film and I didn’t have to worry about audio too much as I wanted to focus on the video aspect instead of possibly getting lost in the weeds with the audio component. I find early cinema so interesting in that these people had so many limitations in what they could do but they also had a creative vision they wanted to execute so they found dynamic and creative ways in order to accomplish it. I thought that doing something similar, trying to accomplish an idea but through very limited means, would be a thematic choice.
