For my redesign I was inspired by the Wood’s reception to the art piece. Mostly that other people who lived in his home state of Iowa felt insulted by the painting, that they were being misrepresented as stiff unexciting people when Wood said that that wasn’t his intention at all and that through his travels in other parts of the world he learned to appreciate Iowa more. I myself went through something similar as I learned to appreciate Arizona's landscape through traveling out of state. So based on my last piece and this piece of history from the painting, I decided to do a piece about Arizona for my new love of desert landscapes.
